An advice, information and support centre for people living with Sickle-cell and Thalassaemia conditions and their carers. Its objective is to raise the level of awareness of Sickle-cell and Thalassaemia in the community and amongst professionals, while simultaneously promoting self-help amongst sufferers and their carers. In 2001, the AWWA took over the premises at 23 Old Ford Road and now have a "Charity Shop" which caters to those who are in need and training opportunities for individuals looking for work experience.
