Wise Owls

Wise Owls is now a Tower Hamlets-based not-for-profit organisation which has been operational since 1999. It was the first organisation to really champion the needs of the over 45's in relation to online employment and job searching. Initially Wise Owls received funding to assist older people from Hackney and Haggerston (East London) get back into meaningful employment. This service was so successful that it was expanded across the whole of London and now includes a variety of programmes to help prepare people for both finding and attaining work. Wise Owls has had many successes and was one of the original organisations to manage the prestigious Prime Loan Fund which is aimed to help individuals over the age of 50 start up their own business.

Wise Owls has continued to promote diversity to businesses throughout the capital and we are now a leading research organisation generating high-quality information for both employers and employees through numerous research projects. Whether through the provision of direct help and support to individuals, or through support services offered to businesses, Wise Owls has never lost sight of its initial objective: assisting older people who want to work get back into meaningful employment.
