ABOUT chapel cinema
The Chapel Cinema is a pop up cinema with the aim to show exciting, beautiful, timeless films from a whole range of different genres, decades and countries, for FREE.
Regular Active Cinema Groups
Action On The Side are a local and independent film-making collective who run month long (weekend-based) film making projects, allowing people to build a network of collaborators, share experience and start making films together in London. They screen some of their favourite films with an extra special screening of some of their short-films just before.
Doc Duck Goose screen stimulating character-based documentary films.
Showing great yet gloriously bad films & cult classics. EMHC goes heavy on the 90s/00s nostalgia!
The Chapel Cinema is hosted every Tuesday evening and it's free to attend!
Screenings will be shown in the atmospheric chapel situated in the back of St. Margarets. This 35 capacity venue provides the perfect environment for any film.
Input is always welcome, so please feel free to contact us with what you want to see!
We also really want to pay tribute to East London by concentrating on local film producers, groups and charities, hopefully hosting films accompanied with talks from local experts.
We are looking for local organisations and charities to do future partnerships and curate the films that we screen weekly at our Chapel Cinema , so if you are interested get in touch.
