ABOUT THE CREATE PLACE
The Create Place is our arts space, offering workshops, classes and studio hire to the community. It is a launch pad for starting a creative project that benefits your community, and a space for creative people to gather, to learn, to create, and to have fun.
With its roots in the arts and crafts movement, we continue to develop our range of activities and initiatives to be more inclusive of the diverse needs of Bethnal Green residents.
We are now home to a variety of support groups, wellbeing initiatives, and adult learning courses, as well as our long-standing weekly classes and exciting new ventures every month. From natural medicine to calligraphy; traditional Shibori dyeing to life drawing; botanical illustration to beading, our timetable is brimming with opportunities to learn a new skill and connect with the community.
Our programme promotes core values of wellbeing, personal empowerment and community spirit and both teachers and students benefit from an atmosphere free of judgement, free of competition - and often free of charge!
