BalletFitness is a low impact, intense workout for those who want to improve their bodies! It works by using techniques built over the years in Ballet, combining Strengthening core movements with a blast of cardio.
There is NO need to have any ballet or dance background to attend this class. The class work can be easily adapted to help people who have never done it, or to push people who have. Certain Ballet movements can be repeated and start to create beautiful long and lean muscles. Add that to the graceful movements you'll be doing that will free up your range of movement (help the joints work better), help you stand taller and look more confident (because of all the lovely exercises we do) and it will become a sort of anti-office workout for you!
The classes are fun and jam packed, and whatever goals you are looking to achieve; whether it's to become more confident, lose a little weight, as a stress release, to tone up your legs or just to get a bit more mobility in your joints, I promise to support you 100%. The class is for you and can be adapted for you to get the best out of our time together.
What to wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in! Try and wear either leggings or shorts or comfortable, loose tracksuit bottoms that won't constrict any movement. Definitely wear something supportive on top for our cardio section. If you have soft ballet shoes please do wear them; but otherwise you can wear socks for our centre work section and trainers for our moving sections.
