Kat discovered yoga 10 years ago at her gym and she instantly noticed having more energy even after a long day. As a small child Kat broke her hip and her parents stopped her from doing all exercise and sports, but she loved dancing, skiing, cycling, and walking kept her active and yoga helped with what she called ‘stretching’ at the time.
In 2013 Kat decided she wanted to know more She had a challenging teacher who let the class play with difficult poses, none of which were achievable for her at the time. Kat wanted to know more about yoga and yoga teacher training felt like an appropriate place to start. She left the course inspired having improved her practice and her body had gone to an adventurous place that she had only dreamed about before. She became strong and more flexible, but Kat also felt the shift in other parts of her life, like how she dealt with everyday issues and interacted with people.
Kat wants to challenge people with her classes. She demonstrates challenging poses and her classes are full of energy. However, yoga is a personal practice and no one knows your body more than you so you decide how challenged you feel. Kat will always suggest plenty of modifications and make sure your practice is safe and fun.
