The monthly Tabarnak! session brings you a glorious selection of the acoustic and unplugged.

Folklore is a night for showcasing the best in unsigned acts that are of
the alt/folk/americana/acoustic persuasion.  This month we are very
pleased to welcome through the doors – Andy Oliveri, O Chapman and Drew

These
three musicians, all active in both the jazz and World Music scenes, and
also leaders of their own projects, come together  lively and unusual
version of jazz standards by Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, Jaco Pastorius
and Ralph Towner, among others alongside original compositions.

Tickets are £6/£4 concession.

When two poor greasers, Johnny, and Ponyboy are assaulted by a vicious
gang, the socs, and Johnny kills one of the attackers, tension begins to
mount between the two rival gangs, setting off a turbulent chain of
events.

We are delighted to welcome the wonderful Paper Aeroplanes for their
first Tabarnak! ever. You will be enchanted by their poetic lyrics,
enhancing melodies, and Sarah’s magnificent voice.

Abdel, a local
hoodlum, is hospitalized after a riot, where a policeman lost his gun.
His friend Vinz finds it and claims he will kill a cop if Abdel dies.

On Thursday 28th July, in the lovely garden space at the back of The Gallery Cafe, we shall be hosting the St. Margaret's House ANNUAL SUMMER PARTY for all the family to enjoy. Expect delicious food, live music, dance, cakes, a vintage clothes stall and games throughout the day to brighten up any summer holiday. FREE ADMISSION.

World Music continues at The Gallery with Pocket Caravan, merging soaring Baltic melodies with driving Latin rhythms and virtuosic improvisations.

The Word House is a brand new spoken word night in East London, bringing you fresh and cutting edge talent from the live literature circuit. Featurd artists, Open Mic, DJs and resident host Dan Simpson.

 

Our Sunday Jazz nights are running every Sunday at The Gallery Cafe from 6-10pm.

On July 9th, spend a lovely summer evening listening to some fantastic acoustic singer-songwriters as they say farewell to their fellow troubadour, Tamra Carhart.

World Music at The Gallery Cafe continues with internationally acclaimed string trio Kosmos.

We’re excited to be launching comedy at The Gallery Cafe. Starting Wednesday 6th July and hosted by “side-splitting and fearless” Jo Romero.
