Francesca was introduced to yoga over 13 years ago, and has been practising ever since with many teachers in different countries. Every time her body or soul needed healing and attention, she went back to yoga and found what she needed in it. She learned that yoga is not only the practice on the mat, but a way of life: learning to accept and let go in your own body allows you to open up to people and be more accepting towards life challenges. Francesca found her vocation to work with children in 2011, when after completing a degree in Theatre Directing she started to work in schools teaching French and drama. She is now also teaching art as a mean to grow children's confidence in their own inner creative soul, and runs sensory storytelling sessions in nurseries. After practising Compassionate Communication for a year, Francesca saw the potential of bringing more empathetic listening into schools, and was given the opportunity to work one to one with children with special needs. Through mindfulness, meditation, creative expression, drama, yoga and compassionate listening Francesca wishes to guide each kid she encounters onto a journey to meet their inner strength and grow the skills to face life challenges, thankful to the teachers that have show her the way in her own journey. In 2016 she trained as a Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher with the Special Yoga Foundation, which sees yoga as a therapeutic tool for children of any age. She is continuing her training to specialise in working with kids with special needs and bring mindfulness training to teachers in schools as part of a NHS project.
