On the first Thursday of every month, The Gallery Cafe opens its doors late for a chance to see amazing art, culture and events after hours. Justine Roland-Cal is a self taught artist who has been painting for twenty years. She started exhibiting in 1994, and in between has worked in street theatre as a clown and fire eater, was assistant to a fabric buyer at Kenzo in Paris and has also been heavily involved with socially motivated projects involving the homeless and people with dependancy issues. SENG HO: ARTWORKS - PAINTING & PHOTOGRAPHY (3rd - 31st December)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Inspired by traditional Chinese Landscape paintings, this British-born Chinese artist displays a contemporary approach to conventional colours and techniques. She shares the principle notion of traditional landscape art, "painting is not about the description of the visible world; it is a means of conveying the inner landscape of the artist's heart and mind".

HABITAT/URBAN SPACES IN EAST LONDON (1st - 30th November)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Beauty and fashion photographer Seb Winter exhibits his landscape project "Habitat/Urban Spaces" featuring stark and absorbing images of East London. There will be a private view of the exhibition on Thursday 12th November at 6.30pm, follwed by live music from the Ho Hum Records Showcase.
