Venue: Chapel

7pm - 9.30pm | £15 - £12 conc.

SevenSeven is a devised theatrical trans-generational family journey, in which, as brother and sister, as son and daughter, as grandson and granddaughter, we are telling the stories of seven male and seven female ancestors.

Dear ancestors of ours… who were you? What are your stories? Why are we feeling so close to your pains? So touched by your hopes? And sometimes so horrified by your deeds? Why are we carrying all your baggage even though we have never met? Or have we met? As your children we are now ready to release the burden, and learn from you.

Twin Company invite you to explore your own ancestry with an optional post-show “Meet Your Ancestry”Dream Circle workshop, facilitated by Marion Bott and Sylvain Bott (approx. 45 mins)

There will also be a matinee performance on Saturday 15th September at 2.30pm.

About Twin Company

Marion Bott works internationally in four languages as an actress & playwright. Her recent explosive play Moormaid, opened in April 2018 at the Arcola Theatre. Marion was commissioned to write a play about cyber-bullying for Stadttheater Ingolstadt in Germany. Cyberlove has been a regional success, integrated in the annual repertoire for the teenage section of the theatre. In 2017 Marion Bott created a female multidisciplinary company called Blauhauch, working with dreams. The main focus of her work in all areas is to expose taboos & empower women and men to lose their masks & speak their truths fearlessly.

Sylvain Bott, a graduate from the BA Acting and Contemporary Theatre course at East 15 Acting School, trained in many disciplines, from physical theatre and devising to classical storytelling. His fascination for international creative developments lead him to direct the Romanian play ‘Maria Ioana’ by Sidonia Doica, in Romanian language. He recently worked on ‘RNG’ showing at the Launch Festival East 15, and ‘Attack of the Zooblorgs’ which will opened at the Mirth, Marvel and Maud Theatre this June.
