Welcome to St. Margaret’s House

An Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation, creating healthier and happier communities

Our mission is to promote positive social change by providing opportunities for people to come together and take part in their community. Our arts and wellbeing projects provide spaces to meet, learn, create, eat, shop, and enjoy a diverse cultural programme.

Our Creative Health Tree Model is at the core of everything we do, championing an ever-growing relationship between cultural organisations and the health and wellbeing sector.

Arts & Creativity

A diverse group of people are modelling their artistic creations.

We believe that everybody should have the opportunity to take part in creative wellbeing activities. The Create Place is our flexible community arts space. It is a launch pad for starting a creative project that benefits your community, and a space for people to be together, to share skills, to create, and to have fun.

Wellbeing

We offer a range of affordable wellbeing activities and clinics to support fitness, self-expression and relaxation for everyone. Try out our sessions and find something that works for you, with support from our fantastic practitioners!

Our charity boutique

A woman confidently stands inside the AYOKA Charity Boutique. She has found a bright yellow coat and trendy silk scarf.

AYOKA is St. Margaret’s House’s charity boutique—a treasure trove, full to the brim with secondhand delights. It's a great place to get your hands on affordable designer and vintage clothes, homewares, antiques, DVDs, CDs, and books. You will find us next door at 23 Old Ford Road. See you there!

The Gallery Café

Open daily: 8.30am - 6pm

Since first opening its doors in 2006, The Gallery Café is our largest in-house community project. As well as offering affordable vegan dishes, locally-ground coffees, vegan sweet treats, and healthy juices, we also host an exciting programme of live events and monthly art exhibitions from up-and-coming artists.
