Week 5: Celebrate and Stitch on Valentine's Day
You want to learn to embroider, but don't know where to start?
You hate starting a project and not getting to the end of it?
Redwork embroidery might be for you. It's reasonably easy, extremely relaxing and there's plenty of fun uses for it. It also has a super vintage feel, being one of the most traditional types of embroideries often used to decorate homewear and quilts, but also great on cards and framed (so you can hang it on your and and be so proud of yourself!)
Expect a relaxing atmosphere, teas, chats, and of course, a step by step approach, and lots of different transfers to practice your stitches with.
Standard size hoops will be for sale for £2 for you to take home. If you have a project in mind that requires a bigger or smaller hoop it's ok, but you might have to bring this to the class.
There will be threads available for use and practice, if you want very specific colours and don't want to be disappointed, bring those to class too.
Scraps of fabric to practice will be provided, and so will the needles.
