A monthly space to explore, experience & experiment, with prattling prose & poetry. We're a small, intimate, inclusive and fully accessible space open to every poet from all walks of life. Expect riffing by candlelight in a thirty-seat, centuries-old Chapel. There is also a table that all and sundry on the poetry scene can drop their leaflets or business cards on - please feel free to sell your anthologies too. We believe in pushing each others work forward in the world.

Doors at 6.30, kick off at 7pm sharp with open poem to get you vibing from our feature act. Then open mic, then break, then Feature, then open mic. Then, a local pub.

Math Jones returned to London from the Midlands a year ago, just shy of a year and a day. He says he's astonished and amazed by the welcome, the affection and support of the spoken word scene here. Forever in awe of the breadth and depth of what is out there, he wonders still, 'What else can spoken word do?'. He works in threads of theatricality, drama, mythology, and story-telling, imbuing fable and fairy-tale with modern truths and contemporary experience. And sometimes he just says stuff.
