‘There is Black in the Union Jack’: Britain’s forgotten history with Dr Sadiah Qureshi


St. Margaret’s House is pleased to present a new partnership with the IF Project for a series of events across Summer and Autumn 2018. The IF Project run free, university-level arts and humanities short courses in London. They do this with the help of 50 volunteer lecturers, drawing material from high-quality online content and teaming up with leading academics from various universities.

Leading the second lecture in the IF Project summer series, Dr Sadiah Qureshi will present 'There is Black in the Union Jack: Britain's forgotten history'. Tickets are free and reserving your space is advised. All are welcome.

Want more? The IF Project's three Summer lectures are being held in preparation for a free 8-week course taking place across September and October 2018, entitled ‘Inequality: The Brief History’. The course will explore inequality with historians, writers, artists and philosophers. You can apply to take the course here.
