An atmospheric evening of beautiful, original folk music by candlelight with Anna Byrne, Nick Edward Harris and Ariana Brophy.
Anna Byrne is a musician (mostly piano and voice with the odd bit of ukulele) based in London. Her songs are honest stories of love, friendship and failure. She's been playing all over London for seven years – St Pancras Old Church, St John on Bethnal Green, Old Queen's Head, Tabernacle, The Troubadour, Proud Camden – and has just finished her first full-length album, 'I Will Need A Microphone'.
Nick Edward Harris has gigged extensively in the UK, performing with acts including Moulettes, Rozi Plain, Dan Croll and Courtney Barnett and touring with acts including Maia and Patch and the Giant. Having recorded an EP with Ben Lovett of Communion Records, his debut album ‘Chimera’ features unique collaborations with Emma Gatrill (Moulettes, The Mariner’s Children/Sons of Noel and Adrian) and Ted Dwane (Mumford and Sons). His second album 'The Tall Trees' was recorded by London producer Nick Trepka (Speech Debelle, Kieran Leonard, Emmy the Great).
Canadian singer-songwriter Ariana Brophy released has new album, Naked, last month. With vocal clarity that would suggest she has been singing a lifetime, she writes songs that weave heartbreak, love, hope and loss onto a canvas of stylised fingerpicking and expert harmony.
