XR event 1.jpg

Venue: Hall behind the Cafe (see map below)

7pm to 9pm | Free

A talk from Extinction Rebellion on why we are heading for extinction due to climate change and ecocide - and what to do about it.

About this Event

The planet is in ecological crisis: we are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction event this planet has experienced. Scientists believe we may have entered a period of abrupt climate breakdown. This is an unprecedented global emergency. Our children and our nation face grave risk.

In this public talk, members of Extinction Rebellion will share the latest climate science on where our planet is heading, discuss some of the current psychology around climate change, and offer solutions through the study of social movements.

Everyone is welcome, though the talk is not suitable for young children. Entry is free but please sign up for a free ticket via the 'register' button on Eventbrite to make sure there is room for you.
