The Body Remembers: A Grief Movement Session
To process grief, you have to feel it. Feel your disappointment, fear, and sadness. Connect to where you’re feeling these emotions in your body. Instead of thinking about it, surrender to the feeling.
Grief is often associated with the death of a loved one, but it can arise from many other forms of loss. This session creates a safe and supportive space to explore grief in all its forms—whether it’s the loss of a relationship, a change in health, identity, career, or life direction. We all experience heartbreak. Loss is universal, and grief exists because our world is constantly changing. The law of nature teaches us that things come and go. The nature of life is impermanence. Loss is inevitable and constant. Whatever is going on right now, good or bad, this too shall pass.
Sometimes change can be exciting. We like it when good things come that enhance our lives. But when we become attached to things and they leave, we experience grief. Remember that crying is a natural part of healing when you’re heartbroken and lonely, longing for what you’re missing, and yearning for the way things were. Grief is here to help heal the pain; it’s a quiet energy that can nurture a broken heart.
We’ll move into grief movement, breathwork, and sound to support emotional release and reconnection with the body. The session will close with a gentle meditation and a deeply relaxing sound bath to soothe the nervous system and integrate your experience. Come as you are - no previous experience is needed.
Please note: This workshop is for the women navigating loss—whatever that loss may be.

Testimonials : Tahmina is very calm and gentle. She is understanding we are all different and allows us to talk to our own experience. The part of the workshop I have enjoyed the most was the movement part and emotional release. Another thing I have learned is talking about grief and how it can be jumbled up and that it has many layers. I also really liked the spontaneous parts and somatic movement of holding myself as a child. Reminds me that we can help ourselves and heal with these somatic techniques. Lorrell
The Grief Session was eye-opening and truly transformational. It helped me access memories that I was afraid to even think about. I feel like I am finally healing. Thank you. Afruza
If you haven’t signed up to work with her yet, you are genuinely missing out on healing parts of yourself you didn’t even realise were waiting to be seen, embodied, grounding, necessary. Alicia, from the Art of Empowerment
