Kana & Sophia have launched a community photography project and are looking for East Londonders to take part!

Who are Double Negatif?

Sophia & Kana are friends who met at the Photography Society during their first year at Queen Mary University of London. They went on to co-found a visual arts collective for students to share and exhibit their work, irrespective of their academic discipline. 

They collaborate under the alias of Double Negatif which began as an Instagram account to record their conversations about photography. 

They will be developing their photography practice within the SMH community setting, exploring personal themes of loss, grief and fatherhood. They are also keen to examine how the residency will impact their friendship and creative connection.
