A Very Soily Soiree

  • The Mulberry Hall at St. Margaret's House 21 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PL United Kingdom (map)

Artists in Residence Babette Ven Gerwen and Will Kennedy invite you into their wonderful wormy world, celebrating the creatures of the subterrain in this exhibition/workshop extravaganza!

What if worms ruled the world? What if pigeons sang cabaret at jazz bars? What if moles commit crime? These questions have troubled philosophers, scientists and astrologers for centuries. Thankfully, and not a moment too soon, artists Babette & Will have finally answered these age-old wonders...through the medium of visual art!

Over the last 3 months, Babette & Will have been exploring the multi-faceted nature of those who live below us, in Subterrania. Expanding their nature-based visual arts practice, the pair have experimented with performance, photography, costume making, writing, and HEAPS of paper-mâché.

Join us for a Very Soily Soiree! You can expect:
