Cyanotype Workshop Series with Marina Longo

Join analogue photographer and cyanotype artist Marina Longo for a hands-on series of cyanotype workshops at St Margaret’s House. Each session explores a different way of working with this historic photographic process, giving you the chance to learn new techniques, experiment, and create your own unique blueprints.

No experience is needed, all materials are provided and each workshop is designed so you’ll come away with a finished set of prints to take home.

Supplies Provided:

● Pre-coated paper or fabric (depending on the session)

● A variety of pressed flowers, objects, and stencils

● Exposure using sunlight or UV lamp (weather dependent)

I enjoyed every second. The hands-on part where I got to experiment with a variety of materials and media felt very exciting to me. The patience and organisation skills of Marina made the workshop very informative and fun at the same time.
Marina was warm, welcoming, patient, and present. I felt at home in the space, able to experiment freely and not afraid to ask questions along the way. The guidance was perfect and I enjoyed learning a short history of cyanotype as a medium – from practical use to artistic interpretation. Thanks for a new learning experience, and a beautiful series of work to take home and proudly display.
