Join the East End WI!
St Margaret’s House have hosted the East End WI for many years for their monthly meetings.
The East End WI welcomes women of all ages, from all communities and all walks of life. Join them for their lively and friendly talks, meetings and activities.
The WI (Women’s Institute) is a unique organisation shaped by its members. In 1915, they set out to give women a voice and to be a force for good in the community. Since then, their members and their ambitions alike have grown tremendously. Today, they are the largest women’s organisation in the UK and they pride themselves on being a trusted place for all women of all generations, to share experiences and learn from each other. The WI campaigns nationally on a wide range of issues and provide life-long learning and self-development opportunities for women in England and Wales.
The East End WI meetings are on the third Thursday of each month, in person.
Membership to EEWI is currently £51 per year, April to March. New members will pay a pro-rata subscription depending on the quarter in which they join. You can join at any of their meetings and can pay by cash, cheque or ask us for online payment details.
The EEWI remains inclusive to all and so if membership is not open to you, you are welcome to attend meetings as a visitor with a suggested voluntary donation of £5 per session.
