Elements in the City - Creative Writing & Photography

  • The Create Place at St Margaret's House 29 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PJ United Kingdom (map)

Elements in the city is a multimedia writing and photography reflective workshop designed to reawaken our connections with nature, creativity and mindfulness

How do we experience the natural elements in the city?

This workshop will begin with readings of poetry and a screening of a short film, to invite us to start thinking about the elements that we interact with in the city. This will be followed by a short walk in the garden to engage with natural elements through mindful meditation and foraging/gathering practices. We will then return indoors to reflect, write, photograph and share with each other using interactive prompts accompanied with tea and treats!

Pause is a creative collective that seeks to facilitate connection through art, community and creativity. Pause is run by Hanna and Aadhiya.

Hanna is a researcher and writer with a focus on creative health as a solution to tackling inequalities. She loves engaging with other writers, creatives and those interested in building community through creative collaboration!

Aadhiya is a creative writer and interdisciplinary health researcher who is particularly interested in words as a medium to reimagine, heal and connect.
