St Margaret’s House – Summer Exhibition Open Call for Submission

  • St. Margaret's House 21 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PL United Kingdom (map)

We are delighted to announce the theme of this year’s St Margaret’s House Summer Open Exhibition: The Space Between.

The exhibition will be shown in the Gallery Cafe between 21 July and 31 August.

The Space Between offers an opportunity to explore the places where differences meet: where the urban crosses over with the natural world, where the outside breaks inside, where communities meet and blend, where creativity meets wellness, where work and community becomes a home.

In painting, we can bring together different elements and blend them into something whole. Through photography, we can capture the juxtaposition between conflicting and complimentary contrasts. In abstract and conceptual mediums, artists can explore how differences can collide to create something unique - in the spaces between - to comment on the social fabric surrounding us.

In a time of extremes, finding the space between is an act of resistance and a search for unity.

We invite you to submit work which depicts or represents your interpretation of this theme.
