THAT Network Practitioners Reconnected

  • The Gallery Cafe at St. Margaret's House 21 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PL United Kingdom (map)

Rewriting the Familiar - Reconnecting. Reworking. Reimagining.

THAT Network London is a vibrant collective of artist-teachers from schools across Tower Hamlets, united by a shared commitment to creativity, collaboration and making.

This exhibition celebrates the individual practices of artists who also happen to be teachers — practitioners who nurture creativity in others every day while continuing to cultivate their own. Presented together in this shared space, these works stand as a powerful testament to the importance of sustaining personal artistic practice alongside educational work.

There is no overarching theme — no imposed direction. Each piece is entirely self-directed, shaped by the distinct voice, curiosity and energy of its maker. The only requirement was simple and bold: to create.

Sam and Tania, who lead THAT network, extend their heartfelt thanks to the team at St Margaret’s House for recognising the value of this community and for making space for this celebration of creativity to unfold in such a meaningful setting.

To all who visit, we invite you to spend time with the work, to connect with the breadth of practices on display, and to celebrate the artists who continue to make — both in the classroom and beyond.
