Do you live or learn in Tower Hamlets? Are you interested in work experience or volunteering? Get in touch!
We arrange work experience placements from Tower Hamlets Secondary Schools through The Switch and support a number of placements directly through local schools too.
We also work alongside specialist providers in Tower Hamlets to provide supported placement opportunities for young learning disabled adults through Phoenix College and Tower Project.
If you need to do some volunteering as part of a course at school or as part of something like the Duke of Edinburgh Award, we may also be able to help you.
Work experience placements would normally involve a mixture of the following:
Working four weekdays and one day at the weekend
Working 10am-4pm or 12.30-6.30pm, depending on the day (with a one-hour break)
Supporting in our charity shop, Ayoka (sorting donations, keeping the shop floor organised)
Working in the office (writing a blog, scanning photos from our archive and other computer and organising tasks)
Supporting workshop sessions for younger children
Volunteering would normally involve one of the following:
Supporting in our charity shop, Ayoka (sorting donations, keeping the shop floor organised)
Supporting workshop sessions for younger children
