Writing with Passion and Patience is a four-session course set over 8 weeks for neurodivergent and queer writers, regardless of experience, who want concrete tools to expand their writing practice
The course is a chance to write, while also exploring issues of cognitive biases, self-esteem, finding inspiration and embracing neurodivergent ways of creating. We will help you develop a toolkit of ideas and inspiration using techniques - such as ‘The Cell Method’, thought-work, writing games and somatic movement practices - developed by neurodivergent and queer writers. Each session is a model for writing in community and will leave you with something concrete that you’ve written and offer time to work on your own project.
Signups are for the whole course. The dates and themes are below:
- Saturday June 6th, 10.30am-12.30pm - Writing in all states
- Saturday June 20th, 10.30am-12.30pm - Working with thoughts
- Saturday July 4th, 10.30am-12.30pm - The act of writing
- Saturday July 18th, 10.30am-12.30pm - Writing in community
