Calling all filmmakers!
St Margaret’s House is proud to present Films For Change - a new monthly film club showcasing the cinematic talents of local filmmakers and films that explore the issues that matter to our local community.
We aim to provide meaningful opportunities for our audiences to engage with films that are educational and inspirational.
If you or someone you know has made a film which covers any social change topics, including but not limited to:
Climate change/environmentalism
Identity and lived experience
Community building
Heritage learning
Tackling injustice
We want to hear from you!
We will showcase one short film on the second Monday of each month, with an opportunity to host a Q&A with the creative teams behind each film. We will be taking submissions for the next six film clubs (September 2026 - March 2027).
This Monthly Film Club will platform films which champion social change, celebrating the importance of new work, brave ideas and strong voices.
First Film Club: Monday 14th September 2026
Submissions Open: Friday 3rd July
Submissions Close: Sunday 2nd August, 10pm
