FAQs
Here are some things that might save you an email:
Where can I find out about everything you have on?
The What’s On page of our website is divided into five sections: Workshops (all our arts workshop activities that happen weekly, monthly etc); Wellbeing (our weekly and monthly classes and clinics); Events (our programme of monthly or one-off events); Exhibitions (the five-week rolling programme in our cafe and weekend pop-up exhibitions in the Chapel); Young People (weekly term-time sessions, half term activities and performances and events for families); More from us (activities like Gardening Club and sessions run by our long-standing partners). Make sure you scroll through each section using the arrows to find everything you’re looking for.
You can also download a timetable of activities via our weekly newsletter (which is also displayed in lots of different places around our site) or join a WhatsApp group where we share updates from time-to-time.
Can I only book online?
No! We know that online booking isn’t everyone’s favourite thing, so you can book by coming to see us in the office, calling 020 8980 2092, texting 07918 595442 or emailing programming@stmargaretshouse.org.uk
Can I book more than one session and more than one activity at a time?
Yes! We have multi-checkout set up for this. Take a look at this videoto see how you do it.
What ticket price am I eligible for?
We let you decide. We offer three tiers of pricing for most of our workshops and events to make it affordable for all. If the Standard rate is not possible for you, feel free to pay the Pay Less option; if you would be able to pay a bit more, please select the Pay it Forward rate. Please always consider making a donation on top of your ticket price or when an event is free if you are able. All donations make a big difference to us.
Can I get a refund?
We know that life can be unpredictable, so we offer a flexible refund and exchange policy to help people when there are unexpected changes in their lives. We enable you to get a full refund (minus £1 per ticket for fee processing) or exchange up to 24 hours ahead of the session/event start time (this is set to 48 hours for Friday Massage). If you contact us less than 24 hours before the session/event start time, we cannot offer a refund or exchange. Refunds can take up to five working days to arrive in your bank.
The event is sold out. I signed up to the waiting list. When will I hear?
If a ticket or tickets become available, we contact all the people on the waiting list as soon as we can to offer them all the chance to book. You need to book as soon as possible to ensure you get the available ticket(s). If another ticket becomes available, we will get in touch again right up to the event/session start time.
Should I let you know if I can’t attend?
Yes! We hate to see a ticket wasted that could go to someone else, especially if it was free to book. Please always let us know, however late it is (but with as much notice as possible is, of course, preferred).
Can I bring my dog with me to the event or workshop?
More than likely, yes! But do check with us so we can ensure it is OK for the specific workshop/event you want to attend. Send us an email: programming@stmargaretshouse.org.uk
Is the workshop/event suitable for me to bring someone under the age of 18?
If the workshop/event isn’t specifically for children/young people, it is probably aimed at adults. If you want to bring someone under 18 along with you, check with us so we can ensure the content is OK for the specific workshop/event you want to attend. Send us an email: programming@stmargaretshouse.org.uk
Is the venue accessible?
We are working to make our Grade II listed building more accessible, but it will take some time. There are access details listed in the venue information of each What’s On entry on our website and more information on our website here. If you have any specific questions, please send us an email: programming@stmargaretshouse.org.uk
