Buy new art supplies in this economy?! We'll do you one better!
For just £2 entry, you could bag yourself a whole stash of new art supplies. Whether you have something to contribute or not, we will be offering up surplus art supplies from @st.margarets.house as well as from @cut.out.club’s own personal collection for you to pick and choose from on the day.
This event is for you if:
✴️ you have quality art supplies gathering dust (we totally do)
✴️ you are an arts student, low-income, or emerging artist
✴️ you are on a tight budget but want to have access to art supplies
✴️ you are looking for art supplies for an upcoming or current project
✴️ you want to explore your creative side without financial risk
✴️ you care about circular economy and affordability in the art world
✴️ you are curious to learn more about art and art supplies
✴️ you want to network with like-minded supply-hunting creatives!
✴️ you love a good thrifting sesh, especially for art supplies 😉
We do want:
✔️ quality art supplies in good/useable condition
✔️ reusable bags to help people transport their new supplies
✔️ stationary (pens, pencils, drawing utensils e.g. charcoal)
✔️ tubes and bottles of paint, brushes, canvases and easels
✔️ clay, varnish, pottery tools and materials
✔️ art books, magazines, collage cuttings, paper
✔️ sketchbooks, drawing pads, notebooks, labels
✔️ beads, wire, and other jewellery-making supplies
✔️ textiles (e.g. wool, yarn, felt, fabric scraps, needles)
We don't want:
❌ broken, damaged, crusty or dried out art supplies
❌ toxic chemicals or products containing harmful substances
❌ sharp or dangerous tools and/or materials
❌ oversized objects that can't be carried by hand
❌ any trash, rubbish, or empty containers
