The Create Place is our flexible community arts space. It is a launch pad for starting a creative project that benefits your community, and a space for people to be together, to share skills, to create, and to have fun.
With a range of community workshops and events there is something here for everyone.

Art & design Workshops
From painting and drawing, to woodwork and photography, we have a wide variety of workshops to help you explore an artform. Get creative and find joy with our community-focused well-being sessions on everything arty! You may even fancy exhibiting your work with us after.
Fashion & Textile Workshops
We know looking good helps you feel good too, so these workshops can help you upcycle your old clothes, make new outfits, and bring a bit of bling with your own accessories. Learn some new sewing skills, or just have a great natter with some like-minded locals!
Lifestyle & Learning Workshops
Creativity isn’t just about making things with your hands, but opening your mind as well! We have plenty of opportunities for you to learn and explore new ideas about sustainability and wellbeing . Maybe join our famous Book Club, or manifest your potential with a Visioning workshop. The possibilities are limitless.

Rates for the Space
Our workshop facilitators hire the space by the hour:
Community
Off-Peak £10 /hour (£15ph from 1st May 2024)
Peak Time £15 /hour (£20ph from 1st May 2024)
Standard
Off-Peak £20 /hour (£25ph from 1st May 2024)
Peak Time £25 /hour (£30ph from 1st May 2024)
Free
If you plan a workshop that will be FREE for the community to attend , depending on the theme and structure, the hire charge might not apply!

About Create Place
The Create Place is your one-stop shop(front) for everything arts, wellbeing and community. Home to our workshops and classes, the main space is equipped with a kitchenette and bathroom facilities, as well as sewing machines and some community craft materials and tools. We have a wonderful supply of books and magazines to help bring your project to life!
Upstairs we have a private studio reserved for our Artist in Residence.
