Brand new for this year's Discover Festival we'll be doing a community tour of the local Bethnal Green Spaces and litterpicking as we go, connecting you to five local green spaces and the surrounding streets
We've teamed up with Cleanup UK for this event and we'd love you to join us!
The route for the Bethnal Green Community Clean will start at St Margaret's House where you can find out more about the SMH Garden, including the Chelsea Flower Show Award-winning section. We'll then work our way through Museum Gardens, Bethnal Green Gardens and Paradise Row, collecting litter as we go. We'll end the afternoon in the beautiful Bethnal Green Nature Reserve, where you will have a tour of this amazing space by one of their team, before we head back to SMH to return the litter picking equipment.
Along the route you will be able to participate in 'park litter bingo', and at the end, design a nature poster and win a prize!
Note: all litterpicking equipment (including gloves) and light refreshments will be provided, but please ensure you are wearing close-toed shoes.
This event is in collaboration with Clean Up UK, Friends of Bethnal Green Gardens and Bethnal Green Nature Reserve.
