Sewing Repair Cafe

  • The Mulberry Hall at St. Margaret's House 21 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PL United Kingdom (map)

Join us at St Margaret's House for a special weekday evening Sewing Repair Cafe as part of our Discover Festival!

We'll help you mend and repair items including:

Clothes, hats and bags - our volunteers will guide you through mending skills such as how to sew on a missing or loose button, hemming tricks and tips for alterations, and how to repair small holes. If you need a specific colour of fabric or thread and you have that, please bring it with you. Please bring spare buttons and if you need a new zip, please buy that and bring it with you (we will do our best to replace zips but it very much depends on the fabric).

Please be aware that the volunteers give their time for free to help you mend and repair.
If we help you, a donation made to St Margaret’s House on the day would be very gratefully received.
