Outlines - Life Drawing

  • The Canvas 27 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PJ United Kingdom (map)
The capitalised word 'outlines' drawn out of peoples' bodies, with the words in calligraphy style underneath.

Join our life drawing session for a relaxed space to practise, sketch, and connect with others

Outlines: Life drawing is an affordable and low pressure way to practise drawing bodies in a neutral and supportive space. We will be based at the Canvas, an intimate and private community space in Bethnal Green, perfect for a smaller and friendly group environment. Beginners are very welcome (along with keen sketchers!); some basic materials (paper, pencils, charcoal, etc.) will be provided, but please feel free to bring anything you’d like to use, sketchbooks, pens, pastels, fabric; the world is your oyster! The session will be roughly two hours long with a few warm-up poses, each for a couple of minutes, a 15-minute, slightly longer pose, and then two longer 30-minute poses with a break for tea, snack and chat in between. The session will be untutored, but please do ask if you’d like any advice or if you have questions.

Honey is a Fine Art graduate. They’ve previously curated film programmes, and currently, they are making some affordable, cute and comfortable life drawing sessions happen. If you’ve come into The Gallery Cafe at St Margaret’s House before, chances are you’ve met and they’ve made you a coffee!
