The Queer Arts & Social Club: Embossing

  • The Cabin at St. Margaret's House 21 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PL United Kingdom (map)

Learn how to create beautiful embossed greeting cards

The Queer Arts and Social Club meet around once a month on a Monday evening at The Create Place. We'll come together to learn new art skills in a fun and relaxed environment. Come for one session or join for more; it's a chilled way to connect with new LGBTQ+ people in London and be creative.

During this fun and creative workshop you'll be taken through a step by step process of how to emboss your own design using aluminium foil and card. Embossing is a metalworking technique where you create a raised, three dimensional design or texture on the surface of the foil. All resources are provided and you'll leave with everything you've made.

I was a bit nervous about going to a workshop doing a craft I’d never tried before. From the moment I arrived Gemma made me feel welcome and relaxed. She gently led us through the workshop and supported each step of the process. She created an amazing friendly atmosphere in the room so it was easy to chat with others in the group. I was so proud of the print I made and had a really fun time. Highly recommended.
