The Queer Arts & Social Club: Speed Lino Mixer!

  • The Cabin at St. Margaret's House 21 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PL United Kingdom (map)

Meet a range of lovely LGBTQ+ people whilst learning a new creative skill

The Queer Arts and Social Club meet around once a month on a Monday evening at The Create Place. We'll come together to learn new art skills in a fun and relaxed environment. Come for one session or join for more; it's a chilled way to connect with new LGBTQ+ people in London and be creative.

During this workshop, you'll learn how to carve a simple linocut print of your own design, whilst meeting a group of LGBTQ+ people in a relaxed and creative setting. I'm excited to offer Speed Lino: a queer printmaking mixer taking place in The Mulberry Hall. They'll be a chance for 1:1 chats, collaborative printmaking and getting to know the whole group. You'll leave with your own print, some collective artwork and hopefully a few new connections. This session will be open for up to 16 people, thus providing a friendly atmosphere, where guidance and support can take place. This workshop is open to total beginners and also to people who would like to develop their lino-printing skills. Prices are on a pay what you can scale and will include all resources, plus you'll get to take your prints home. I'm really looking forward to bringing a group of queer people together as a chance to get creative and make new connections.

Linoprinting has given me a new lease of motivation and joy and I’m so thankful!
