An exhibition by Side-Xuest CIC in collaboration with Nourishmen
What does it mean to be seen without being asked to perform? Bare Witness turns the lens inward, towards community as it is lived from the inside: the unguarded moments, the shared tables, the quiet that settles between people who know each other well. These are images made by those who belong to the places they photograph, offered not as spectacle but as testimony.
Here, no one needs to be more than they are. To be witnessed is to be held whole, irrespective of expectation, in all the softness and contradiction of being human.
Come and look gently. Stay a while.
