Running for over 10 years, every Monday at The Create Place.
Monday Morning Crafting is an open textiles group-led workshop, with mutual tutoring, cake and plenty of chat! Members like to sew, knit and alter clothes. Working with Ayoka, the Crafting group often use discarded textile scraps and turn them into tote-bags for the charity shop.
Over the years, the group have collaborated with a number of St Margaret’s House’s Arts & Wellbeing initiatives, especially the Artist in Residence programme. In 2022, the group created a Battenberg crochet blanket for June-August’s Resident Artist, Ben Murphie, and in 2023, they made Magical Mushroom Headpieces for October 22 - March 23’s resident artists Nina Scott and Dan De la Motte (Be More Mushroom).
The group is led by long-standing volunteers Sheila and Julia.
Come along to work on your own textile project with a group of like-minded crafters.
