Black History Month, South Asian Sustainable Fashion and more
24 September 2026
We know it feels like September has only just started, autumn hasn't properly begun and there's no way we should be thinking about the end of the year yet... But... We just wondered: if you're planning an end of year party, would you like to host it at St Margaret's House?
By hiring a space at SMH, you're supporting our work with the rest of the community - your hire fees make a difference! We've put together a little package of a couple of spaces that might be suitable for your work or friends and family get-together.
Details here alongside information about all our space hire.
There's still plenty to enjoy in our programme over the next three months. Check out our What's on page and read on to find out what's coming up soon, or download a PDF version on the button below.

London's only South Asian sustainable fashion festival is back for a fourth year (the first at SMH). Workshops will celebrate South Asian textile artistry and unpack climate justice, and talks will expose exploitation in the fashion industry.
To celebrate Black History Month, we're presenting the Jazz Dance in British Culture exhibition and programme of events, exploring how African Diasporic Jazz dance has shaped British culture from the 18th century to the present day, from the Cakewalk to UK Jazz.
The popular series returns for three autumn sessions. Done separately or together, these workshops are for writers and all people seeking solace, community and to write in response to life's complications and mysteries. Saturdays 3rd, 17th and 31st October.
Everyone: please welcome new yoga practitioner, Carla! She is taking over the Hatha flow class where you're guided to link your movement to breath in a sequence of poses to build flexibility, focus and strength. Come and meet her and do the class this Saturday!
