Sustainability weaves through everything we do here at SMH and we're striving to reduce our environmental impact and get people involved in initiatives that bring positive change. Did you know it's Tower Hamlets Green Week? Free events, activities and community experiences, inviting residents to get curious about climate action in the borough. You can find out more here. It was a our Social Gardening club as part of the events. Thanks to everyone who came along even though it's getting colder and wetter!
The next session is on Wednesday 18th November and that, along with all our other activities, is listed on our What's on page. But read on to find out about a dance performance, zine workshop, our regular Open Mic and Sound Bath and your chance to be our artist in residence!
You can download a list of our regular activities at the button below.
Have you booked your ticket for this special performance on Saturday evening? There're a few tickets left and we'd love you to come along to celebrate Black History Month. You'll see dance forms including tap, Charleston, Cakewalk and Lindy Hop and we'll also get everyone up dancing at the end!
Have you always wanted to perform in our Open Mic but not plucked up the courage yet? Well, come along next Thursday! It's such a welcoming and supportive space for first-time performers. Sign up!
Transform your personal photographs into a zine using stitch, writing and collage in this hands-on workshop exploring the ways we preserve, remember and reinterpret our personal histories. Tickets from £12.
Could you be one of our next Artists in Residence? We provide free space in our small AiR studio and each artist is with us for three months and encouraged to create work that engages with our community. Applications for our 2027 residencies are now open. Deadline Monday 2nd November, 5pm.
Are you in need of some deep relaxation? Join our Sound Bath to experience immersive, rejuvenating frequencies with Himalayan Singing Bowls, Gong and Percussion. You'll leave feeling more enriched, connected and in harmony with yourself.
Let’s Discuss Death is working in partnership with Tower Hamlets Libraries and Idea Stores, Redbridge Library Service and the Tower Hamlets Cemetery park across five days of events which are free for the community. Bethnal Green Library is hosting two days of events on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th October.
