September is just around the corner and so is Second Hand September! This campaign is all about giving pre-loved things a longer life by choosing second-hand, reusing what we already have and thinking twice before buying new. At St Margaret's House, especially at Ayoka, we're proud to support the campaign and its message of reducing waste and making more thoughtful choices. Whether you're a seasoned charity-shop treasure hunter or simply curious about consuming a little differently, September is the perfect excuse to give it a go.

And why stop at second-hand when you can give something you already own a second chance? Our Repair Caf e is the perfect place to start. Bring along an item that's seen better days and, with a little help and know-how, see if you can get it back in action rather than sending it to the bin. It's a chance to pick up useful repair skills, meet others in the community and discover just how satisfying it can be to fix rather than replace. Your wobbly, torn or slightly worse-for-wear belongings might have plenty of life left in them yet!

What's on this week

From Monday 14th September, Integral Yoga is back every week. If you are recovering from illness or simply wishing to maintain and enhance your strength and flexibility, this is the class for you. It begins with a series of gentle postures followed by deep relaxation.
