Enjoy art exhibitions with your favorite coffee
9th October 2025
This week at St Margaret’s House, we continue to host a vibrant mix of workshops, events and activities that bring our community together through creativity, conversation and care. There’s always something happening that inspires connection and joy.
Looking ahead, next week marks UK Coffee Week, and we’d love for you to celebrate with us at The Gallery Cafe, our beloved cosy spot renowned for its welcoming atmosphere, delicious vegan menu and commitment to sustainability. Whether you’re stopping by for your morning coffee, catching up with friends over lunch, or taking a quiet break surrounded by art and greenery, it’s a space designed to make everyone feel at home.

Join us for our monthly free art cafe of collaborative drawing in The Gallery Cafe. Whether you love to draw or you just love hanging out with new people and doodling while you do, this will be a space to come together and be creative. It will hopefully also offer some calm and relaxation to your week.
This welcoming Vinyasa Flow class is designed to support beginners while offering options for more experienced practitioners. Each session will weave movement with breath, guiding you to connect more deeply with your body and find ease in each transition.
PhotoMonth Photography Festival celebrates photography in all its forms throughout East London in October.
Come to The Gallery Cafe and enjoy 'Home Is?', an exhibition that shares personal stories of migration, intimacy, and landscape and fantasy, exploring what home means when it is constantly in motion, remembered and remade.
Additionally, this weekend in the Chapel, enjoy Hoagy Houghton’s first solo show, which invites audiences to reflect on our shifting cultural and spiritual relationship with the moon at a time when its exploitation for resources is becoming increasingly imminent.
During this fun and creative workshop, you'll be taken through a step-by-step process of how to emboss your own design using aluminium foil and card. Embossing is a metalworking technique where you create a raised, three dimensional design or texture on the surface of the foil.
Join us for an evening of cosy and relaxed life drawing every fortnight at the Canvas, to practise your sketching and view bodies in a neutral appreciation of form and figure.
This Black History Month, the award-winning festival returns to Hackney with street food, cocktails, DJs and more. See you there!
