Excited to introduce the new members of our Wellbeing team

12th March 2026

This week at St Margaret’s House, we invite you to take a look at everything happening across our spaces and join in any of our many activities. From creative workshops to wellbeing sessions, there are lots of opportunities to try something new, meet others and spend time in a friendly and welcoming community environment.

We also have a few updates to share. We are currently looking for a volunteer who knows their way around crochet to join our Crafting is Connecting workshop and help participants learn and share skills as they craft together. Our next workshop will take place in April, so if you are interested in joining our team, please contact Sam ideally before the end of March. At the same time, we are delighted to welcome two new practitioners to our wellbeing programme: Miles has joined the Friday Massage team and Litha is the new member of the ELM Acupuncture community. We are very happy to have them on board and hope you will come along to meet them and enjoy these sessions.

Check out our What's on page and read on to find out what's coming up!

In this session, you'll create a hand collage with paper. We supply all the materials and you can pop in for 15 minutes or stay for the whole three hours. We'll have some tea and biscuits on hand too.

Our Massage Shala sessions are now called Friday Massage! Inspired by the informal massage rooms of Southeast Asia, the sessions take place in a shared space that fosters a relaxed atmosphere of community, connection and healing.

We are very happy to welcome Miles to the team. He still has a few slots available for tomorrow, so if you would like to book a session with him, now is a great time.

We are also very happy to welcome Litha to the ELM Acupuncture team!

Litha brings her skills and knowledge to our Community Acupuncture sessions, which offer gentle, ethical and affordable care for pain, stress and illness. Acupuncture can support a wide range of conditions, helping both physical health and mental and emotional wellbeing.

Just as nature enters a cycle of renewal, growth and expansion in spring and the trees begin to blossom again, so does the energy within us. Celebrate the change of seasons and the approaching Spring equinox with this afternoon workshop of gentle movement, yin yoga and yoga nidra.

Lust for Life group exhibition: where artists gained inspiration from Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, connecting and reflecting on her themes of life, love, illness, betrayal, family, fashion and the magic of colours.

The Deaf Indonesian Mental Health Group project aims to improve mental health awareness and disaster preparedness in Indonesia’s Deaf community. It is led by Herbert Klein, a volunteer at our D/deaf Cafe and a retired NHS professional with over 30 years’ experience in Deaf mental health services. The project works with Deaf organisations across Indonesia to provide training, research and community support. Research with 653 Deaf participants across 18 islands highlights serious gaps in mental health support and access to information. Your donations will help fund workshops and strengthen support for Deaf led organisations.
