Participate in Earth Hour and contribute to a sustainable future
19th March 2026
This week at St Margaret’s House, we want to highlight our ongoing commitment to sustainability as a key part of our mission. From the way we run our spaces to the activities we host, we aim to make choices that are mindful of the environment and encourage more sustainable ways of living. We believe that small, everyday actions can make a real difference, especially when they are shared across a community.
This feels especially important as we approach Earth Hour 2026 this Sunday. It is a moment to pause, reflect and take simple action by switching off and thinking about how we can care for our planet. We invite you to join us in marking the occasion and to carry that spirit forward by making choices that support a more sustainable future for everyone.

This exhibition responds to a central contradiction of contemporary life: unprecedented digital connectivity alongside deepening disconnection—from nature, from one another and from ourselves.
Right to Grow Tower Hamlets got off to a strong start this year. In January, they presented a petition at the Council Meeting, which led to a follow-up meeting to explore how Right to Grow can help shape the borough’s Community Gardening Strategy, with consultations this Summer and support drafting a formal Motion for Tower Hamlets. Upcoming public events include: banner-making on March 24th (5–8pm) at Limborough Hub, volunteer days, film screenings and socials in April and a walking tour of community food gardens on June 7th, part of London Open Gardens.
