Check out our exciting lineup of events

9th July 2026

July is Disability Pride Month, a time to celebrate the diversity, achievements, and contributions of disabled people, while recognising the importance of creating a more inclusive society for everyone. At St Margaret's House, we believe our community is stronger when everyone feels welcome, valued and able to take part. We're proud to support this important campaign and remain committed to creating spaces where people can connect, create, learn and thrive together.

Whether you're in the mood to get creative, discover a new hobby, meet friendly faces, or simply enjoy a change of scenery, there's a place for you at St Margaret's House. Our programme is packed with opportunities to learn, make, explore and connect, all in a warm and welcoming community. Have a look at what's coming up below, bring a friend along if you fancy, and join us for one or more of our activities. You never know where your next conversation, new skill, or favourite pastime might begin.

Join us for our free Art Cafe of collaborative drawing. This month, we’ll be drawing inspiration from the Mughal Empire, which ruled large parts of South Asia from the 15th to 17th centuries. The Mughals were known for their opulence, their love of grand architecture and so much more.

SASS invites you to an open, inclusive workshop where South Asian women can connect and learn about the experiences of women in Kashmir. We will use personal ethnographic accounts and photojournalism to learn about and reflect on the history and present realities of life in this region.

Brand new for this year's Discover Festival, we'll be doing a community tour of the local Bethnal Green Spaces and litterpicking as we go, connecting you to five local green spaces and the surrounding streets.

Join us in The Chapel for a day celebrating Nokshi Katha embroidery as a heritage craft of solidarity, connection and storytelling, with a collaborative group exhibition and drop-in workshop.
