See what September has in store at St Margaret's House

10 September 2026

This week, our annual Explore Outdoors programme comes to an end: the final sessions of Lunchtime Slow Flow Yoga are on Friday at 12noon and 1pm. As the chilly autumn mornings set in, we reflect on a beautiful summer in Victoria Park that saw nearly 300 of you engage in yoga, art and mindful activities whilst connecting with nature and others from your community. And all for free!

Our activities are back indoors for the autumn and there are series of new workshops to take a look at: check out our Regular Poetry Club, Write like a Grrrl and Writing to Uncover the Self. There are also two opportunities for some personal archiving with South Asian women's stories and zine-making - so much to choose from!

Check out our What's on page and read on to find out what's coming up soon, or download a PDF version on the button below.

Join us for a free tour to go behind the scenes at St Margaret’s House and experience a small exhibition about our history. Tours are on the hour and the exhibition is open 11am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

SASS invites you to celebrate music, identity and storytelling in The Gallery Cafe with Eelam Tamil-rooted and London-raised vocalist Pritt, alongside London-based DJ and producer Bia. Tickets: £7.

Through intuitive abstract paintings rich in colour, texture, and spontaneity, this exhibition celebrates discovery, creative freedom, and the joy of embracing life's unexpected journeys.

This women-only workshop offers a safe and supportive space to explore grief in all its forms through reflection, movement, breathwork, sound and meditation, guiding a gentle journey from loss towards healing and love. Tickets from £18.

Experience the immersive rejuvenating frequencies of a Sound Bath. We've listened to your feedback about the autumn/winter temperatures in the Chapel, so we're trialling September in our Studio. Check it out!

Local theatre company Access All Areas is bringing a new show The Knowledge to Hoxton Hall for three performances only.

Created and performed by Black Cab Company’s learning disabled and autistic cast, The Knowledge takes a chaotic, joyful look at life in a changing Hackney, looking back at 50 years of creativity since the group first started in 1976.

Whether you're a long-time Hackney local or just looking for a great night out supporting a local community group, come join us!

Where: Hoxton Hall

When: 24 & 25 September
